The Trash Hero mission is to create sustainable, community-based projects that remove existing waste, and reduce future waste by inspiring long-term behaviour change. We are connecting with the Trash Hero Thailand chapters to run our Plastic Bottle SUP project.
500 million plastic straws are used and discarded every day in the United States alone. That’s 175 Billion a year filtering into landfills and littering the oceans. The OneLessStraw campaign strives to educate the public about the dangers of single use plastic straws; their effect on our health, our environment and our oceans. We have partnered with this fantastic initiative to encourage others to help eliminate plastic straws. TAKE the OneLessStraw Pledge NOW.
We are proud to be a partner of Whale and Dolphin Conservation. For every Whalebag and every pair of Whaletreads sold, The Whale Company will donate 10p to the charity WDC, Whale and Dolphin Conservation to support their work protecting whales and dolphins around the world. WDC, Whale and Dolphin Conservation is a registered charity. (In England and Wales No. 1014705, in Scotland No. SC040231).
ITIWIT by Decathlon kindly donated one of the new 12’6 Explorace SUP boards to the Plastic Bottle SUP marathon expedition to accompany the plastic bottle board as a support board. Carlos and Carolyn took it in turns to paddle the bottle board and the Itiwit board.

The Whale Company has partnered with U.S.-based Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Programs to invite UK students to participate in their 2017 Ocean Awareness Contest which launched in September 2016. At Bow Seat, they recognise the power of young ocean caretakers, and it is their goal to inspire them to lead the way to finding innovative solutions to ocean pollution. They want you to #BeTheChange. You may choose to focus your work on one type of pollution, or the impact of ocean pollution as a whole. To enter the contest click here.
Sea-Changers is a charity that raises money for vital marine conservation projects in the UK, by working with marine businesses and people who love the sea. They aim to create a world where the seas and shores are clean and healthy and marine species are protected. By harnessing the energy, good will and resources of sea-users and businesses, they want to create a sea-change in the amount of funding available for marine conservation.
